Get the most from your health plan coverage
Blue Shield offers two plan options for Medicare-eligible Health Service System retirees and eligible family members. If you are retired, have Medicare Part A and Part B and reside in the plan service area, you are eligible to enroll in Blue Shield 65 PlusSM HMO, a Group Medicare Advantage-Prescription Drug (GMA-PD) plan. This plan includes both medical and prescription drug coverage. If you reside outside the plan service area for Blue Shield 65 Plus, you are eligible to enroll in the Access+ HMO (Medicare Coordinated) plan and the Blue Shield of California Medicare Rx Plan (PDP). NOTE: If you are a current Access+ HMO (Medicare Coordinated) member who resides in the Blue Shield 65 Plus service area, you will only be eligible to enroll in Blue Shield 65 Plus.
